For many people, holidays mean tradition, family, and repeating familiar rituals.
But for us, it’s more about exploration—of cultures, stories, and different ways people celebrate life.
We see holidays as a way to learn, not just repeat. It’s about respect, tolerance, and personal growth.
New Year’s Eve
For New Year’s Eve 2026, we celebrated differently—with Filipino fruits on the table, bringing another culture into our moment.
Easter
Easter 2026 was even more diverse… but we didn’t celebrate all of them. Instead, we read about them and watched movies on the theme. Although I would love to participate one day in the Horse Easter, I don’t feel the same about the Deads Easter.
- Horses Easter in February, 28, 2026 (Shortly, it is about decorating and blessing horses.)
- Christian Catholic Easter on April 5, 2026
- Christian Orthodox Easter, on April 12, 2026
- Easter of the Deads, aka “Easter of the Blessed,” aka “Easter of the Blajins,” connected to ancient traditions and remembrance of the dead, on April 20, 2026 (Shortly, it is about preparing a grill in the cemetery and sharing a meal there.)

Each one tells a different story.
So maybe our favorite holiday is not just one day—but the curiosity to discover them all.
