Day 29: Camping: A Love Story With Mosquitoes

Daily writing prompt
Have you ever been camping?

Sure. Mountains, seaside, in Romania, Bulgaria, even in Turkey—because apparently I like suffering in different time zones.

It’s “okay-ish”… until you realize something is missing. Like comfort. And sanity.

Maybe I just like something soft under my ass. A chair. A bed. Anything that doesn’t feel like a rock.

Then there are those tiny vampires with no respect for personal space.

Mosquitos, bugs, mice, flies… dogs… cats… donkeys…

And hygiene… let’s just say I prefer dirt to stay where it belongs: not on me, not in my food, and definitely not in my sleeping bag.

So yes, I’ve been camping.

A couple of times. Mentally, I’m still recovering.

Thanks for reading. Wishing you soft chairs, good sleep, and bug-free nights 🌿
