Years went into rewriting books. Not writing—rewriting. Adjusting. Overthinking. Listening to feedback like it was a life-or-death situation.
At some point, I was basically creative clay. Everyone had an opinion. I absorbed all of them. Not always a great idea.
Later, I learned something important: not all feedback is about you. Some of it has… other plans.
Naturally, I tried the opposite.
I wrote fast. Published fast. Tried to prove something (still unclear what).
The result? Fast criticism.
Very efficient.
So now… I’m back to slow writing.
Because apparently, that’s my natural speed.
Not fast. Not trendy. Slightly “sous-vide,” if you will.
But it works.
