Day 9 — Training the Body… and More

Because if I can multitask my workouts, you can multitask your follows.

Daily writing prompt
What’s the most fun way to exercise?

What’s the most fun way to exercise?
Honestly… anything that lets me watch podcasts, YouTube chaos, Netflix mirrors… or, well… other activities that train the body. You know exactly what I mean. Haha.

And since we’re already moving — mentally, physically, spiritually — you can follow my literary acrobatics everywhere I exist online.
I’m on Medium, where the words live. Editor at New Literary Society.
On LinkedIn, where I pretend to be professional.
On Facebook, where the chaos continues. And here, take a look at my Facebook Author Page.
And on Calameo, where my publications sit quietly like well‑behaved children.

Come find me.
I promise I’ll even restart taking pics for you.

  1. When I was 25 and living in Florida, I went to a women’s gym mainly because when I was shopping around for gyms, I noticed that most gyms I went to with both genders as the clientele, as soon as a woman walked in, the men would lower the pins in the weight machines. Whenever a man walked in, the women would prance around in cute little outfits and full makeup.
I didn’t want any of that. So, I joined an all female gym where everyone was there to work out and not look hot for one another. I was at that gym 6 days a week. Management was so impressed with me that they gave me a free t-shirt.
I lifted weights. Back then, they didn’t have any magazines for women who lifted weights, so I bought a popular male magazine at the time. I didn’t lift weights for bulk. I only wanted to trim up. I had gained so much muscle mass that I weighed 200 pounds, but I did not look it. In fact, I lost inches and fit better in my clothes. It was great. I lost my job and had to quit the gym. It was so disheartening.

Since then, I had moved to San Diego. Been here for over 30 years now, but haven’t had the energy or motivation to get into it anymore. That’s okay, because I have plenty of other stuff to drive me insane.

I love your daily stream of consciousness journal. Great idea. This is the first day I’ve been able to enter with the comments open. I’m looking forward to reading more from you!
