Imagine

If you love without hope,

To be loved in return,

Life becomes a shadowed slope,

With lessons hard to learn.

It leaves a bitterness behind,

A taste within the soul,

For love, in vain, can be entwined

With death, an unseen goal.

To heal the pain that lingers deep,

Within the left side’s chamber,

Seek solace where emotions seep,

In words that ease the labor.

You Know, You Can

Find refuge there, no matter what,

As life’s events unfold,

As if a love, now lost and shut,

Fills your existence bold.

A rising star from the abyss,

Emerges in forgetting,

Unfurls an endless horizon’s kiss,

To the sea of loneliness, upsetting.

Your darkened eyes, then, intertwined,

With tears that gently flow,

Life’s waves beat on, a rhythmic grind,

Towards a destination you can’t know.

Be Yourself because…

They resonate with the untold,

Lengthy song of your distress,

While the bright star, steadfast, bold,

Remains in unreachable success.

It smiles sadly, with cold rays,

To hopes now turned to dust,

You’ll love her ever, in endless days,

Yet she’ll remain distant, just.

And your days will be what they are,

Barren as vast steppes spread,

While nights hold a sacred star,

A charm that can’t be read.
