How to Succeed with the New Medium Algorithm —An Exclusive Update

Cracking the Code with My Special Secrets

Dear Valued Writers, Followers, and Friends,

As I mark one year after publishing my first article, I’m happy to share with you my most popular piece in my portfolio. This piece is all about breaking the code — or, more specifically, the algorithm.

Your enthusiasm and support over the last year have made this journey extremely rewarding, and I am delighted to give this updated version of my most popular work. I’ve filled it with new insights specifically for you because you like the earlier edition.

I did my best to make this new version intriguing and engaging, and I genuinely hope you love it as much as I did.

If you do not want to see tags in future updates, please let me know.

Your belief in me has been essential in my development, and I am grateful for your encouragement during my first year on Medium.

Thank You for making this journey so rewarding.
Warm regards.

Debunking Medium Myths, Understanding the Reality, and Discovering Secrets

Welcome to a story that will help you elevate your Medium journey.

It’s time to reveal Medium’s secrets and move to the next level, transitioning from basic to basic +.

Have you ever wondered what kind of magic fuels the mystical algorithm of the Medium platform?

Let’s debunk some myths together!

❓ But hey… what is basic + ?

⭐️ 100 published stories

️️ ⭐️ stats that look like jaw teeth

⭐️ 100 $/month

Myth: Quality Over Quantity

Reality

The algorithm craves both. Hone the art of creating quality content regularly, and you’ll succeed in satisfying its insatiable appetite.

Secret

Publish daily. One, two, three, four articles. After a two, three-day marathon, take a break for four, or five days to avoid boredom and burnout.

Myth: Consistency is Key

Reality

Consistency isn’t just a key; it’s an enchanted castle. Discover how regular engagement with other writers’ work can turn the algorithm into your loyal ally. Get involved and work harder if the results don’t meet expectations.

Secret

If things aren’t working out, try publishing one or two extra articles… or stop altogether and start a reading marathon. Don’t forget to clap, highlight, and/or comment on articles. (Yes, you read that right, I wrote “or.” More on this in a future article.)

Myth: Be Patient and Wait

Reality

Patience may be a virtue, but waiting is outdated. Discover the secrets that will expedite your success, getting the algorithm on board. Push your limits — write more, write better, and hit the publish button.

Secret

If you’re here, trust me, writing is your passion. So… do what you love, write. Some articles are well received, others not so much. You can’t predict which will generate more reads, more love, and comments. But you must continue to hone your writing style and understand the world and your audience.

Myth: Follow for Follow, Law of Reciprocity

Reality

This isn’t a tit-for-tat game; it’s a dance. Learn to elegantly dance and follow the algorithm as you wish.

Secret

The machine loves changes. Follow daily, as many writers as you can, until you reach 1.5 K — for newbies. But when the list starts to feel suffocating, trim it down to the maximum number of people you know and interact with. Keep the list like this for three days, then continue adding followers.

Myth: You Need a Niche, an Audience

Reality

Your uniqueness is your niche. Discover how embracing your authentic self can attract the right audience and make the algorithm your biggest fan.

Secret

Your followers are your audience. That’s why they’re more valuable to you than the writers you follow. Use the followers’ list to interact with them and read their writings.

Myth: Your Pen Should Follow a Prescribed Path

Reality

Unleash your creative spirit. Let passion be your guide and watch how you’ll seduce the algorithm, catapulting yourself into everyone’s spotlight.

Secret

Tutorials and self-development articles may get more attention… but Medium is already filled with this type of content.

Publish heartfelt works — short stories, prose, poetry, journals, translations. Write from your heart’s desire… and you’ll be rewarded…

Myth: You Must Adhere to a Strict Publishing Schedule

Reality

Establish a suitable, predictable, yet spontaneous schedule. Discover that sensitive spot that will make the algorithm jump.

Secret

On marathon days, my publishing schedule was at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m.

I now publish only on weekends and occasionally on Tuesdays, always at 6:30 p.m.

But publishing without interaction is almost useless. Even when I didn’t publish anything, I used to read and comment.

Now, I prefer reading and highlighting, and I comment more rarely.

Interestingly, the view and read statistics remain quite high even on the one or two days when I am not active on the platform.

Myth: Publishing for a Publication is Mandatory for Success

Reality

Publications are like the decorations on the cake, not the cake itself. Learn to manage on your own, without a gallery of supporters behind you.

Secret

From the early days on the platform, people were reading my articles. Some publications immediately invited me to join them. I collaborated for a while, then I stopped… because I created my own publication.

Myth: Avoid Writing About Medium, AI, or Adult Content

Reality

Write about controversial topics! Learn to approach any delicate subject because this is part of the art of writing. You’ll succeed in keeping the algorithm on your side.

Secret

I’ve read interesting articles from each of the above categories — though some writers complained about encountering issues with views and reads after writing on these topics.

Myth: A Fresh Face is a Faceless Entity

Reality

Newbies, rejoice! Reveal your hidden creative potential and learn how being a nobody can make an algorithmic sensation.

Secret

I was new in August 2023, joined the Partner Program in September, and became a Friend of Medium in January. Why? Because the MEDIUM community is the warmest, smartest, and most curious I’ve encountered so far.

From day one, I felt embraced. I knew I had to write to move the readers, and that’s exactly what I did. I wrote to express love, to show I care — to disseminate my knowledge, feelings, stories, thoughts, dreams, hopes… my life.

Final Thoughts

Are you ready to transform your existence on Medium?

Bid farewell to the myths and embrace the adventure of algorithmic happiness.

Embrace the robot, awaken your inner spirit, and wait with the elegance of a panther. Let the algorithmic escapade begin! 🚀✨

Please, clap, engage, and… stay tuned for the next story…! But, most importantly, a profound thank you to each one of you. Your unwavering support has been invaluable.
