I’m Julia, Editor-in-Chief of the New Literary Society.
Sal Gallaher, our brilliant co-editor, and I are genuinely excited to have you join us on this amazing journey.
We’re thrilled to work with you and can’t wait to see where this takes us!
🔔We created this publication with one goal in mind: to connect and promote writers like you.
Whether you’re a seasoned author or just starting out, our community is here to support, inspire, and elevate your writing.
In less than six months, we have published twenty exquisite Author Interviews with writers from around the world, totaling approximately 200 pages.
Some of these interviews have already been translated into Romanian and published on our Medium pub, while others are being translated into German.
Although subscriptions are currently suspended until these translations are completed, we want to reopen them this autumn.
All interviews will be made freely available on WordPress to a wider audience.
Promoting authors is challenging, so we are also planning to start publishing (more) Book Reviews of your works soon.

Why We Created This Publication
The New Literary Society believes in the power of words to connect people and ideas.
We realize how difficult it may be for writers to reach their target audience and for readers to discover new voices.
Our platform aims to bridge the gap between writers and readers, fostering a thriving community.
- We value promoting you through interviews and reviews, but our assistance extends beyond those efforts.
- We also focus on promoting your articles, assisting with publishing and editing, and sharing links on platforms like Facebook and WordPress to reach a broader audience.
- On our publication, you can submit stories in Fiction, Nonfiction, Memoir, and Poetry using the respective tags.
- By using the Memoir tag and adding “Contest Entry” to the title of your story, you can participate in our Summer Memoir Writing Contest.

We aim to support writers in every aspect of their journey, including their hard work and dedication.
That’s why we’ve created a new section on our publication called Writer Connections. Here, you’ll find:
- Articles featuring older stories and Community Highlights.
- Soon, we also plan to offer Swaps (Reciprocal Exchanges) opportunities, such as feedback on manuscripts, proofreading, writing reviews, or composing forewords.
(This kind of collaboration has been very important to me in recent years. )
