- That Special Moment
One fine day, you started writing poems/stories. How did it happen exactly?CS: While travelling in my early 20s, I joined the Mt Isa writers’ group and had my first short stories and poems published. Although I dreamed of being a writer, life, career and insecurity got in the way. When I retired, I decided to try to follow that dream. My first book (The Changing Room) was published on my 70th birthday.
It was then that I discovered the magazines from Mt Isa were in the National Library of Australia, along with my three published books.
