Dive into the Deep End

Daily writing prompt
What could you do more of?

Ahoy, dear readers! Guess what? I took the plunge yesterday, I really did! Dived headfirst into the cerulean embrace of the pool. Oh, the sheer delight of it all – the water whispering against my skin, the rhythmic splash-splash of my strokes echoing in the hushed silence. And guess what else? I’m going back again tomorrow and next week and next month and even in winter! Yes, indeed! I’ve decided to brave the icy tendrils of winter, to shatter the frosty silence with my determined splashes.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not turning into a mermaid or anything (although wouldn’t that be something?). I could still go more often, become an even more familiar face to the lifeguards, an even more frequent visitor to the changing rooms. But hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day, right? So, for now, I’ll just keep taking the plunge, one lap at a time. After all, isn’t life just a series of dives and surfaces, of breaths taken and released? So, here’s to more dives, more breaths, more swims. Catch you on the flip side!

Life’s been a whirlwind with deadlines and a platform switch, but I’m holding onto WordPress. Perhaps someday, I’ll unite all my digital domains to keep our writerly camaraderie alive. Sending you virtual hugs.

      1. Thank you very much for the reblog of my short story about Lord Wolcombe, the mysterious paintings and Princess Arabella.

I tried to post my thanks directly in the comments on your reblog post and then when that failed via email reply but WordPress for whatever reason won’t let me post on your reblog post of my short story.

        So thanks anyways. 🙏☺️🥰
