The Perfect Air-Fried Burger

Daily writing prompt
What’s your favorite recipe?

Cravings are a fickle thing; they twist and turn like the wind, leaving us yearning for different flavors from one day to the next. But every now and then, a recipe comes along that makes you want to hit the repeat button. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my latest culinary obsession: The Air-Fried Burger.

This isn’t your run-of-the-mill, slapped-together-in-a-rush burger. Oh no, this is a symphony of flavors, each note carefully chosen and perfectly balanced. A blend of 300 grams of meat, a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of basil and parsley, a hint of Curcuma, and a dash of garlic powder. This ensemble is then left to chill in the freezer, allowing the flavors to mingle and marinate for two hours.

But we’re not done yet. After the chilling session, a splash of cool water is added and the composition is hand-mixed, ensuring the flavors are evenly distributed. With the Air-fryer preheated to a sizzling 200 degrees Celsius, it’s time to shape these beauties.

Say goodbye to conventional burger molds, and say hello to a repurposed, oiled coffee cup. Hehe. The result? Perfectly formed patties ready to be air-fried to perfection. On the grill they go, six minutes on one side, a quick flip, and four more minutes on the other side.

The result? A burger so succulent and flavorful, it’ll have you reaching for seconds before you’ve even finished the first. Paired with a fresh salad and some crispy baked potatoes, this meal is the epitome of tasty and healthy eating.

So, mark your calendars for September, folks. Because once you try this air-fried delight, you’ll be craving it all month long!

PS: Text time, I intend to add some baking soda along with a few secret ingredients. My aim? To transform these burgers into… Mititei…  ‘Little Ones’ – cylindrical meat rolls with a fluffy consistency. Stay tuned!

    1. Hello. Thank you for your comment. I typically use the metallic basket of my air fryer when cooking burgers, crispy strips, and French fries. However, I recently conducted a search for ceramic forms and pans suitable for an air fryer and found many options… I will return shortly with some photos and links for further reference.
