Dr. Emma Sinclair, a mind virtuoso and self-proclaimed “psychological shepherd,” had created a unique therapy group for animal lovers in Bucharest. She lovingly named it “Fur & Whiskers.” They met once a week in a space that looked like Noah’s Ark crashed with a therapist’s office.
“Dogs or cats?“
“I’m more of a cat person, you know, because cats don’t care about your problems, just like me!” Adrian, a card-carrying member of this motley crew, mused aloud. “Well, my dogged devotion is a testament to my loyalty, much like my dog’s loyalty to his tennis ball!” responded Elena, a fellow patient. The entire room burst out laughing.
“I’m a bi-petual,” Dr. Sinclair said as she led the group through a mix of memory-mining escapades linked to their pet experiences. I adore cats and dogs!” The discovery was received with laughter and applause.
The group quickly recognized that “Fur & Whiskers” was more about uncovering the intricate layers of their characters than it was about choosing team cat or team dog. “So, we’ve been psychoanalyzing ourselves through our pets?” Alex joked. That’s fantastic!” This amusing revelation elicited yet another round of laughing.
