Did you ever think there would be a ‘before’ and ‘after’ to your life that wasn’t categorized by monumental personal milestones, but instead, by a global pandemic? Well, strap in folks because I’m about to take you on a journey through my life: BC (Before COVID-19) and AC (After COVID-19). ๐ฆ ๐ฐ๏ธ
In the BC era, my life was a minimalist’s dream! ๐ฟ I had decluttered everything – not just my physical space, but also my emotional baggage and virtual junk. My calendar was as clean as a whistle, with ample room for cultural activities, concerts, conferences, art events, and my personal favorite – literary soirees and the Women Writersโ Club… ๐
And then came 2020, and with it, the AC era. The world changed, and so did our work-life balance. We shifted to home offices and meetings in pajamas. Sounds fun, right? Well, for adventure-seeking digital nomads, maybe! But for homebodies like me, it became essential to turn our living spaces into comfort havens.
So, I embarked on a quest! A quest to increase the comfort in my daily life – one household appliance at a time. A washing machine to tackle the mountain of laundry, a vacuum cleaner to wage war against dust bunnies, and a grill. ๐
And guess what? As I straddle the line between digital nomadism and homebody-ness, I’ve found that there’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to comfort. It’s all about what makes YOU feel good. So, whether you’re a minimalist, a maximalist, or somewhere in between, remember – comfort is ๐ king, queen, and the entire royal court!๐ So, here’s to increasing comfort, one day (and one appliance) at a time! ๐ฅStay comfy, my friends! ๐
